Walpole, NH (May 5, 2024) – The Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) in partnership with the Antioch Bird Club, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District (Winham NRCD), Monadnock Outdoors, and Southeastern Vermont Audubon Society is excited to announce continue the popular birding on the farm workshop series in June!
The multi-part birding workshop series will run through 2024.
Participants will learn about farm habitat dynamics for birds, habitat management, wildlife conservation on the farm, as well as species identification from experienced bird guides. This workshop series is open to birders and enthusiasts of all skill levels! Participants may bring binoculars with them, and weather appropriate dress and boots for walking are recommended.
The next birding workshop will be held on June 7th at 7:00AM at Five Sigma Farm in Sullivan, NH.
Please note that this is a working farm with animals grazing and guard dogs present. Animals and dogs will be behind fencing.
Participants should note that Five Sigma Farm is located on steep and rough terrain. We will take stops for discussion and observation, but please consider your level of physical fitness and ability.
