"NEW STREETSCAPES AT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER" PRESENTATION AT 9/11 TRIBUTE CENTER
The 9/11 Tribute Center will host a presentation on September 11th Emergency Medical Response and Disaster Preparedness by Antonio Dajer, M.D., Chairman of Emergency Medicine at NY Downtown Hospital on Monday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Center, 120 Liberty Street in downtown Manhattan. "New Streetscapes at the World Trade Center", will be presented by Mary Dietz, Design Manager at Silverstein Properties, at the 9/11 Tribute Center, 120 Liberty Street in lower Manhattan, on Monday, March 18th at 6:30 p.m.
Ms. Dietz will discuss the ideas behind the master plan of Daniel Libeskind for the 16 acres of the new World Trade Center, the integration of the visual dynamics of pedestrian flow in the elevations of the buildings, the connections between design materials and historical design in Lower Manhattan, and the respect accorded the 9/11 Memorial by all of the architectural elements in the complex.
This program is being presented in conjunction with the Center's newest exhibit, "Building World Trade", made possible by the generous support of Silverstein Properties.
The public is invited to this free program, but reservations are recommended at rsvp@tributewtc.org.
About the 9/11 Tribute Center The 9/11Tribute Center is located at 120 Liberty Street along the south side of the World Trade Center site. The center was created by the September 11th Families' Association to share the personal stories of victims, survivors, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and residents of Lower Manhattan. By engaging visitors in the authentic experiences of those most affected by the events of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001, the center's five galleries and its walking tour program convey the courage, grief, and heroism of those who responded to the tragedy and the steps taken towards working for a more peaceful world by many of those impacted by the events.
