Walpole, NH (September 25, 2025) – The NH Association of Conservation Commissions (NHACC) and the Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) will host the 9th Annual Conservation Commission Potluck on Thursday, October 16th from 6:00-8:00PM at Whitcomb Hall (620 Old Homestead Highway, Swanzey, NH).
Drop off dishes at 6:00PM, presentation and roundtable discussion from 6:15-8:00PM. The event will take place at Whitcomb Hall, 620 Old Homestead Highway, Swanzey, NH.
Conservation Commission members and the general public are invited to join the Cheshire County Conservation District and the NH Association of Conservation Commissions for an exciting evening!
This year’s event will include a panel discussion on “Building Resilient Stream Crossings” and will be presented by Southwest Regional Planning Commission (SWRPC) Staff and Shane Csiki, State Geologist and Director of the New Hampshire Geological Survey (NHGS).
Learn how to improve stream crossings to benefit wildlife and how to develop relationships with road agents to build resilient infrastructure in your community! We will discuss opportunities for collaboration with road agents, look at local project examples, and share resources.
Attendees will be able to brainstorm the barriers and opportunities for collaboration with road agents in your towns, hear highlights from towns actively doing work with stream crossings, and participate in a panel discussion on collaboration with road agents, as well as the improvement and benefits of stream crossing in your community!

Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share for the evening's potluck if they can. NHACC and CCCD will also provide some locally sourced snacks.
