Bridgewater to Dedicate Veterans' Parking Space at Municipal Complex

Bridgewater, NJ – At last night's Township Council meeting, the Governing Body approved a Resolution which authorizes the dedication of a parking space for Bridgewater military veterans at the Municipal Complex. This initiative was spearheaded by the recently formed Bridgewater Veterans Advisory Committee (BVAC).

“I know how important veterans are to the fabric of Bridgewater,” said Mayor Matthew Moench. “Gestures, such as this, are the least we can do to show our support for the bravest among us. I look forward to hearing more from the Veterans Advisory Committee on unique ways in which we can connect with more veterans in Bridgewater.”

“On behalf of the Veterans Advisory Committee and all veterans in Bridgewater, I would like to thank the Mayor and Council for continuing to honor all those who served,” said BVAC member and Marine Corps Veteran Michelle Smith. “This committee will always be diligent in looking for ways, both big and small, to engage and honor this community.”

“I would like to thank our Veterans Advisory Committee for coming to the Administration and Council with this idea,” said Council President and Veteran Howard Norgalis. “This, along with the Veterans Day event they organized, are just the initial fruit of what I anticipate this group will bear for the veterans and our community.”

The new parking space will be dedicated with a small ceremony in December 2020.
