Arlington Chamber Celebrates Business Community at 101st Arlington Business Gala

ARLINGTON, VA - The Arlington Chamber of Commerce hosted the 101st Annual Arlington Business Gala on Saturday, January 25 at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon CityThe event, sponsored by Washington Workplace, celebrated the business community in Arlington as well as serving as the Chamber's largest fundraiser. A central theme of the evening was the impact of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a supporting 501c(3) organization to the Arlington Chamber.

Chair Steve Cooper discussed in his remarks the recent move of education and workforce development programming into the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, as well as the launch of the Arlington Child Care Initiative through the Foundation. Following a video displaying the impact of the Chamber's Job Shadow Day program, Cooper encouraged the approximately 275 attendees to donate. During the event, attendees donated a total of $11,950 to the Foundation and its programming.


In addition, Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis provided remarks thanking the Arlington Chamber for their advocacy work, while emphasizing the importance of having a strong business community for the prosperity of all 240,000 Arlingtonians. 


Attendees enjoyed networking over a three-course dinner, a red carpet entrance, a photo booth, a lively game of Heads or Tails, a live auction, and live music provided by the Bachelor Boys Band.


VIPs in attendance included Senator Barbara Favola, Delegate Patrick Hope, Arlington County Board Chair Takis Karantonis, Arlington County Board Members Maureen Coffey, Susan Cunningham and J.D. Spain, Sr., Commonwealth's Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, and Clerk of the Circuit Court Paul Ferguson.
