ARLINGTON, VA - The Arlington Chamber of Commerce hosted its 102nd Annual Arlington Business Gala on February 21 at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, drawing more than 300 business and civic leaders for an elegant evening celebrating Arlington's business community.
This event, sponsored by The Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key, A Dittmar Company Project, and hosted by Chamber Board Chair Bismah Ahmed of the Apartment and Office Building Association, featured a Vintage Hollywood theme with a three-course dinner, music by the Bachelor Boys Band, a red carpet, vintage decor, and both a Live and Silent Auction.
Arlington County Board Chair Matt de Ferranti thanked the Arlington Chamber for its advocacy efforts and emphasized the shared commitment of the County and the Chamber to maintaining a strong local economy.
Evelyn Powers of Design Powers took home the Best of Auction Raffle prize, winning courtside seats to the April 9 Washington Wizards game, donated by Shy Pahlevani.
The program featured an appeal for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, led by Autumn Joi of WLIT 106 Radio / FOX 5 DC. Joi highlighted Foundation programs such as Job Shadow Day and the Child Care Alliance. Attendees donated more than $11,000 to support the Foundation's programs.
VIPs in attendance included Delegate Patrick Hope; Arlington County Board Chair Matt de Ferranti; Arlington County Board Vice-Chair Maureen Coffey; Board Members Susan Cunningham, Takis Karantonis, and J.D. Spain, Sr.; Commonwealth's Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti; Commissioner of Revenue Kim Klingler, Clerk of the Circuit Court Paul Ferguson; and Sheriff Jose Quiroz.
