Millbrook, NY- Before summer is in full swing, Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County (CCEDC) invites parents and caregivers to join one of two upcoming Parenting & Support Education (PASE) sessions through its Family and Consumer Education (FCE) Program.
Raising children today comes with both joy and unique challenges. That’s why CCEDC’s evidence-based parenting workshops are designed to help caregivers build confidence, strengthen family bonds, and learn new tools to support their children’s emotional and developmental needs.
“Strong families build strong communities,” says Jessica Canale, FCE Program Leader. “Through the PASE Program, we empower caregivers with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to nurture thriving families because every parent deserves support and every child deserves a bright future.”
Two Free PASE Events This June:
· In-Person Adult Workshop Intensive – Communication & Positive Parenting Tools: a collaboration with Red Hook Community Center

Dinner and free childcare provided
Join us for a one-evening deep dive into five essential parenting tools to enhance communication, build connection, and promote family harmony.
· Virtual 3-Day Communication Series
Online via Zoom
June 24th, 25th, and 26th | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM each evening
This virtual series explores the same foundational tools in a flexible format. Participants will gain practical, proven strategies to enhance communication at home, at work, and in their communities from the comfort of home!

"Parents already come to our workshops with so much wisdom," says Heather Ohlson, Community Educator and PASE Facilitator. "Our role is to support and strengthen those skills in a collaborative, welcoming space. Small, intentional shifts in behavior can create big changes in a child’s life. These sessions are about connection, not perfection."
Workshops are free and open to parents and caregivers of children of all ages. Registration is required. Full attendance is required to receive a certificate of completion. These sessions are made possible in part by funding from Dutchess County.
