According to the article in Naples Daily News, medical providers are required by law to provide patients with requested medical records within 30 days. The article claimed that research showed 50 percent of healthcare institutions didn't comply with this law in 2018. Furthermore, the article uses the investigation of the medical practice and their settlement of $85,000 for violating the privacy law to exemplify this continuing struggle.
