Orlando, Fla. - August 04, 2023 - The Health Law Firm announced that one of its attorneys, Amanda I. Forbes, recently won a favorable decision dismissing all charges, in a complaint hearing for her client, a foreign medical school graduate. The hearing was held by the Educational Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Credentials Committee. The ECFMG is affiliated with the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). The complaint alleged that the doctor had engaged in "irregular behavior" (the organization's term for misconduct) surrounding preparing for or taking the examination required for obtaining a medical license in the United States.
The applicant was accused of submitting false information on an application for the ECFMG examination. At the hearing, Ms. Forbes successfully disproved the charge, obtaining a finding of "No Irregular Behavior." The hearing and review by the ECFMG Medical Education Credentials Committee determined there was insufficient evidence of the alleged "irregular behavior."
Ms. Forbes stated: “We are extremely pleased that we were able to obtain a successful outcome in this physician's case. It is imperative to contact an experienced health law attorney when you receive an allegation of "irregular behavior" from the ECFMG or USMLE or any entity to increase the likelihood of obtaining a favorable outcome.”
