ORLANDO HEALTH LAW ATTORNEY WINS DISMISSAL OF CHARGES IN BOARD OF NURSING CASE
|
Orlando, Fla. - March 31, 2020 - The Health Law Firm announced that one of its attorneys, Lance O. Leider, J.D., LL.M., recently obtained a favorable decision in a Department of Health complaint investigation from a panel of the Board of Nursing on behalf of its client, a nurse.
The applicant allegedly failed to report prior convictions and impairments to the Board of Nursing. Mr. Leider successfully obtained a dismissal of charges.
Mr. Leider stated: "Often nurses and other health professionals have minor offenses such as reckless driving or substance abuse issues that lead to criminal charges. There is a requirement to report these to the board or licensing agency in many cases. There are ways that an experienced health lawyer may assist in order to avoid having these placed on the license of the individual or in their permanent record." In addition to his law degree, Mr. Leider has a Master of Laws in Health Law from DePaul University College of Law.
The Health Law Firm routinely provides legal representation to nurses, physicians, mental health counselors, and other health professionals, as well as to resident physicians and medical students, in a variety of different situations. You can visit our Areas of Practice page on our website to learn about how we can help if you find yourself in such a situation.
