ORLANDO ATTORNEY MICHAEL L. SMITH SUCCEEDS IN HAVING INVESTIGATION AGAINST PHARMACIST DISMISSED

Orlando, Fla. - May 28, 2020 -The Health Law Firm announced that one of its health law attorneys, Michael L. Smith, recently obtained a favorable decision in a complaint being investigated against a pharmacist which could have led to discipline on his license.

The Department of Health received a complaint from a patient that the pharmacist had allegedly misfi l led a prescription. Mr. Smith successfully obtained a finding of no probable cause and dismissal of charges from the Probable Cause Panel of the Board of Pharmacy. This means the case is now closed and will never be subject to public disclosure .

Mr. Smith stated: "Based on our prior experience and as a result of our representation, we were successful in having t he case dismissed." Mr. Smith, a lawyer and former hospital-based registered respiratory therapist, is also Board Certified in the Legal Specialty of Health Law by The Florida Bar.
