ORLANDO ATTORNEYS WIN DISMISSAL OF "IRREGULAR BEHAVIOR" CHARGES IN USMLE CASE

Orlando, Fla. - May 11, 2021 - The Health Law Firm announced that two of its attorneys, George F. Indest III and Achal A. Aggarwal, recently won a favorable decision in a complaint hearing before a committee of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Secretariat. The complaint had alleged "irregular behavior" (the organization;s term for misconduct) case on behalf of its client, a medical student.


The applicant allegedly submitted false information on an application for the USMLE Step ! examination, the first in a series of exams that physicians must pass in order to become licensed ind the United States. Mr. Indest and Mr. Aggarwal successfully obtained a finding of "No Irregular Behavior: after a hearing and review by the USMLE's Committee for Individualized Review (CIR).


Mr. Aggarwal stated: "We are extremely pleased for the successful outcome in this doctor's case. It is important to consult an attorney regarding an allegation of 'irregular behavior' or misconduct made by the USMLE, the ECFMG, or any certifying body, in order present a well-organized defense and to increase the chances of a successful outcome."
