Mount Clemens, MI - Today, a 30-year-old Shelby Township man was arraigned in connection with stabbing his mother.
It is alleged that on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, Miles Farish stabbed his mother multiple times while she was asleep in her bed. Farish is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder (life felony).
Farish was arraigned in Shelby Twp. District Court by Magistrate Jim VerPloeg where bond was set at $2 million cash only and if released the defendant must wear a steel GPS tether and have no contact with the victim. Farish is being referred to Community Corrections for a mental health evaluation.
A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:30 pm and a Preliminary Exam is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 3:00pm with District Court Judge Douglas Shepherd.
