Submit Your Cambridge Love Letters

Cambridge Historical Society is becoming History Cambridge, and you're invited to come help us make history! Join History Cambridge this summer at Starlight Square. We’re sharing your Cambridge Love Letters on June 8 and August 10.

Did you fall in love in Cambridge? Did you fall in love with Cambridge? We want your love letters – to a person, a neighborhood, a restaurant, club, or other fixture in the city, past or present. History Cambridge will host a love letter reading at Starlight Square, and we want you to be a part of it!

We’re searching for the heartfelt, the humorous, the angst-ridden, the joyous. Mine the treasures of your basement, attic or long-forgotten teenage diary, or compose a new love letter expressing what the city, its people and its institutions mean to you. We will be carefully curating from the submissions we receive to showcase all the many ways Cantabrigians feel love in – and for – their city. Share your love letters with us!
About History Cambridge

History Cambridge started in 1905 as the Cambridge Historical Society. Today we have a new name, a new look, and a whole new mission.

We engage with our city to explore how the past influences the present in order to shape a better future. We strive to be the most relevant and responsive historical voice in Cambridge. We do that by recognizing that every person in our city knows something about Cambridge's history, and their knowledge matters. We support people in sharing history with each other—and weaving their knowledge together—by offering them the floor, the mic, the platform. We shed light where historical perspectives are needed. We listen to our community. We live by the ideal that history belongs to everyone.

Our theme for 2021 is "How Does Cambridge Mend?" Make history with us at cambridgehistory.org.
