WALPOLE, MA — Sound View Financial Advisors, a woman-owned, fee-only fiduciary financial planning firm based in Walpole, Massachusetts, has acquired Waypoint Financial Planning, effective April 1, 2026, following the retirement of founder Alan Dossett.
The acquisition marks a major growth milestone for Sound View Financial Advisors, bringing the firm to nearly $100 million in client assets and expanding the reach of a woman-led firm in an industry where women remain underrepresented. According to the CFP Board, women make up 23.8% of CFP® professionals in the United States, underscoring the continued gap in leadership and representation across the financial planning profession.
Led by CEO Misty Lynch, CFP®, Sound View’s growth comes at a time when women are playing an increasingly central role in financial decision-making. CFP Board research found that 69% of women consumers report being the primary decision-makers for investment choices in their households, pointing to a growing need for leadership and representation that better reflects the clients the industry serves.
