World Title Unification Fight Set for September 20 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa

Sara Bailey vs. Evelin Nazarena Bermudez Headlines Historic Night of Boxing in Canada’s Capital

OTTAWA, ON – Sept 10, 2025 — United Boxing Promotions is proud to present a major milestone in Canadian boxing. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, WBA World Champion Sara Bailey will face Argentina’s Evelin Nazarena Bermudez, the current IBF and WBO World Champion, in a blockbuster world title unification fight at the newly opened Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa.

This will be the first world championship boxing held at the new Hard Rock LIVE located inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, promising a night of world-class action and hometown pride.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.ca. Demand is expected to be high, fans are encouraged to act fast.

A Fight That Defines Legacies

Bailey, a rising Canadian star with a WBA title to her name, steps into the ring with the goal of unifying three world titles in just her seventh professional bout. Bermudez, a seasoned champion from Argentina, brings her IBF and WBO belts into the high-stakes matchup.

Local Heroes to Make Their Debuts on the Undercard

In addition to the world title headliner, the September 20 event will showcase some of Ottawa’s brightest amateur boxing talent making their professional debuts in front of a hometown crowd.

Local standouts Adrien Davin Carrasco and Cam Laing will each enter the professional ranks for the first time, bringing extra excitement and local pride to the stacked undercard.

“We’re thrilled to include Ottawa’s own Adrien and Cam on this historic card,” said Buxton. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for these young athletes — to debut on the same stage as a world title unification fight in their home city. It’s going to be electric.”

The undercard will also feature top Canadian prospects and elite international talent, making for a full night of action at Hard Rock LIVE — a 1,900-seat performance theater.

OTTAWA (Ontario) – 10 septembre 2025 — United Boxing Promotions est fière de présenter une étape majeure dans l’histoire de la boxe canadienne. Le samedi 20 septembre 2025, la championne du monde WBA Sara Bailey affrontera l’Argentine Evelin Nazarena Bermudez, détentrice actuelle des titres mondiaux IBF et WBO, dans un combat explosif d’unification des titres mondiaux au tout nouveau Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa.

Il s’agira du tout premier championnat mondial de boxe présenté au Hard Rock LIVE, situé à l’intérieur du Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, promettant une soirée d’action de calibre international et de fierté locale.

Un combat qui marquera les carrières

Bailey, étoile montante canadienne et détentrice du titre WBA, montera sur le ring avec l’objectif d’unifier trois titres mondiaux à l’occasion de son septième combat professionnel seulement. Bermudez, championne aguerrie venue d’Argentine, mettra en jeu ses ceintures IBF et WBO dans ce duel à fort enjeu.

Des héros locaux feront leurs débuts en sous-carte

En plus du combat principal pour les titres mondiaux, l’événement du 20 septembre mettra en vedette certains des meilleurs talents amateurs de la région d’Ottawa qui feront leurs débuts professionnels devant une foule locale.

Les espoirs locaux Adrien Davin Carrasco et Cam Laing feront chacun leur entrée dans les rangs professionnels pour la première fois, ajoutant une dose supplémentaire d’excitation et de fierté locale à une sous-carte déjà bien garnie.
