Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience (P.R.I.M.E.)
This funding program addresses postdocs of all nationalities, who see their future career in Germany, but who first wish to spend some time researching abroad.
Funding is provided for 18 months, of which 12 have to be spent abroad and 6 at a German university.
Apply by August 31st, 2018.

Conference Funding
Faculty members and advanced students in the humanities, social sciences and related fields are invited to apply for co-funding to organize workshops, seminars and conferences that embrace the interdisciplinary and/or comparative study of the history, politics, economics, law, society, culture and the arts of Germany.

Two DAAD Alumni receive prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Professorship
Prof. Dr. Anne van Aaken, law and economics, and Arno Prof. Dr. Rauschenbeutel, quantum optics and atomic physics were awarded this research award. With a value of five million euros, this is the highest-endowed research award in Germany. Congratulations to the award winners!

Research Initiative
Researchers Begin Projects Tackling Issues of Climate Change
In cooperation with France, Germany is strengthening research on climate change through 13 recently selected projects. Led by renown academics, these projects are expected to contribute to existing knowledge on climate change and to inform decision-makers in both countries.

Can I apply for the P.R.I.M.E. grant if I am neither a German national nor currently living in Germany?
Yes, neither German citizenship nor residency in Germany is a requirement. PRIME is open to both Germans and foreigners, no matter whether they are currently living in Germany or abroad. You are eligible to apply if you already hold a PhD or if you will have completed your PhD before the prospective starting date of your PRIME fellowship.
