As we step into 2025, we’re excited to share some updates and upcoming events with you.
January sets the stage for a busy start to the year as we prepare for our members-only PRISMA Annual General Meeting in February. It’s a chance to reflect on the past year and discuss our plans for the future. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, now is the perfect time to ensure you’re part of this important event!
Looking ahead, we’re delighted to announce that ticket sales for the 2025 PRISMA Festival will open in March, with exclusive early access for PRISMA members. This year’s festival, taking place from June 16-28, promises to deliver breathtaking performances featuring a stunning repertoire—stay tuned for more details!
Meanwhile, our very own Arthur Arnold is preparing for his Spring Concert Tour with Dr. Moira Hopfe-Ostensen, bringing their musical expertise to the stage in captivating performances. Be sure to mark your calendars for these not-to-be-missed events!

Annual General Meeting
Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with the PRISMA community at the PRISMA Academy & Festival's Annual General Meeting! This year's event will be held at the Italian Hall on February 26, 2025, with doors opening at 6:00 pm for membership renewals and sales. The main program begins with a performance by the qathet Symphony Orchestra at 6:30 pm, followed by the meeting. Please RSVP in advance at prismafestival.com/agm.

PRISMA 2025 - Box Office Update
Tickets and passes for the 2025 PRISMA Festival (June 16-28) will go on sale in the first week of March, with a special head start – as always – for PRISMA members. Experience an incredible lineup featuring Mahler's Symphony No. 6, Shostakovich's Symphony No. 6, Berlioz's Les Nuits d’été, Mosolov's Symphony No. 3 (World Premiere), and other exciting works. Additional details will be announced soon.

Julianne Lee - Violin
Julianne Lee has built a remarkable career on both violin and viola as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She is the Assistant Principal Second Violin of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the violist of the acclaimed Dover Quartet. From 2017–2019, she served as Principal Second Violin of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and performs as concertmaster at the Grand Teton Music Festival.

Emily Melendes - Harp
Emily Melendes, the new principal harpist of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, draws inspiration from both orchestral and solo playing. A national Anne Adams Award winner, she has performed with leading North American orchestras and renowned conductors such as Alan Gilbert and Michael Tilson Thomas, earning praise for her precision and expansive sound.

Richard Ranti - Bassoon
Richard Ranti had 40 year career playing in the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra while making guest appearances in such orchestras as Toronto Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Arts Centre Orchestra, and in many other orchestral and chamber ensembles in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan.

Musical Merit Fund
We are sincerely grateful for the support received on Giving Tuesday (December 3).
