Discount Codes Now Available for Tournaments
The USTA National office has added a new feature to the online sanction form which may be useful for some Tournament Directors if you have ever wanted to offer a discount on your entry fees. You may now add discounts for items like early bird registration, first quantity of registrations, or any other discount you may want to consider to help increase your participation. This feature can be challenging to use and, if not done correctly, may negatively impact your revenue. So, proceed with caution! With that said, click here to view the instructions on how to use these new discount codes. Also, Adam Hutchinson and Trenton Corvino will reach out to those TD's interested in doing this to be sure the feature is being used as intended so that TD's do not lose revenue by mistake.

Fast4 Tennis is a New and Fun Way to Play Tournaments!
Some common concerns of tournament players include too much time commitment and too many unknown variables (i.e. if you win you play at one time, if you lose, it is a different time). Fast4 Tennis is looking to change that! Introduced by our friends down under (aka Australia) Fast4 is a pretty simple format to learn. You play games to 4 points, you play sets to 4 games, and a tiebreaker is played a 3-3 (tiebreaker to 5). This format can be done in a half day or full day at the most. You can try this within your own club or even as a USTA Sanction event. If you are looking for something different to try as an offering for players in your area, then consider Fast4 Tennis! For more information on how to get this going contact Adam Hutchinson at ahutchinson@pnw.usta.com.

NTRP Year End Ratings Are Around the Corner!
You may already be receiving questions about when the Year End Ratings are coming out. Generally speaking the Year End Ratings come out the week after Thanksgiving. We have not received any indication from the USTA National office that this is any different this year. Unfortunately we do not have an exact date. As soon as we receive word they are released we will let all of you know as well as all of the players.

Gearing up for Winter Leagues!
Once the Year End Ratings are released, it will be "GO" time for getting team confirmation forms finalized and court allocation forms into your Area League Coordinator. There are some VERY tight timelines for Northwest Washington, Southwest Washington, and Northern Oregon. We understand these timelines are tight however it is necessary to ensure there is enough time to complete the scheduling process, give facilities enough time to double check them, and post schedules on TennisLink so that players can plan for their first match despite the busy holiday season. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated!

2017 USTA League Sectional Sites Announced
