Part I of this two-part webinar series will introduce participants to the concept of technoference and unpack how technoference is becoming a significant disruptor in the areas of attachment, attunement, and neurodevelopment.

Tracy Walters, MEd
Tracy is a new team member in the Office of Child and Family Services at the Department of Behavioral Health and Services, where she currently serves as the State Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator. Tracy has devoted 31 years of her professional career to the service of children and families. She has occupied roles in Early Childhood Education, Early Intervention, and Mental Health. Tracy has studied Early Childhood Education in Italy, focusing on family centered partnerships, child-centered education, and the importance of community in supporting the social-emotional wellness of children. Over the course of her career, she has served children and families in both the public and private sector, and has worked diligently to engage with community partnerships to lift the needs of Virginia’s children. Tracy currently serves on the Board of the Virginia Infant-Toddler Mental Health Association, and serves as a Co-Chair for the Central Chapter of Virginia Association of Infant Mental Health. She engages in speaker appointments at both the national and local conferences, and looks for any platform that allows her to share the importance of social emotional wellness for children birth to five. Tracy’s passion is to advocate for the rights of young children, and views her work in the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health arena as a disruptor of inequity for children in Virginia. Tracy resides in the City of Richmond, is interested in supporting small businesses and is a patron of the Arts. Tracy enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and is an avid reader.
