Action Alliance Foundation (AAF) provides safe recovery residences for homeless alcoholics and addicts, including those struggling with mental health issues. We teach our residents how to create sober lives leading to futures full of hope and promise.

Approximately 350 guests came out to celebrate sobriety at Action Alliance Foundation's first annual Octsoberfest on October 21. Held at Twila Reid Park in Anaheim, the day featured a BBQ lunch, raffle, silent auction, vendor booths, stand-up comedians and four live bands! A huge shout-out to our sponsors - Greatrake, McBride & Associates, JMJ Construction Service, and Paul Vann/Lincoln Financial Advisors - along with our food sponsor CalAssist - for their particularly generous support.  And thanks to each of our bands and comedians (led by MC Johnnie Flowers) for sharing their talent at the event!

AAF Selected as Community Partner for 2023 Newport Beach Film Festival

Action Alliance Foundation recently partnered with the 2023 Newport Beach Film Festival, making brief presentations at both showings of the film The Man with the Silver Case.

About the film: Already killing himself with drugs and alcohol, the anonymous Man in Gray accepts a deadly job delivering a mysterious suitcase for a shadowy organization, and finds himself running not just from himself, but anyone he comes in contact with.

Thank you to our Funders

AAF is honored to announce that it has received three charitable grants during the last several months, from Parker Hannifin Foundation, the Glen and Dorothy Stillwell Charitable Trust, and the Margaret E. Oser Fund for Women. These grants, which total $21,000, will help fund more than 840 nights at an AAF residence. A special thanks to each of these funders for its generosity and its commitment to helping Orange County residents find safe housing while achieving and maintaining sobriety.

Meet Two of Our Residents - Barry and Tracy

Every night, approximately 300 Orange County residents receive housing and support for maintaining their sobriety at a house managed by Action Alliance Foundation or its for-profit partner, Action Alliance Services. Each of our residents has a unique story - a story of how they are overcoming a challenging past in preparation for a promising future.

Barry and Tracy are just two of AAF's residents with very different stories - Barry started drinking at the age of 6 and has been sober since 2009; Tracy was addicted to meth and has been sober since 2021. You can read about each of their journeys by clicking here.
