Action Alliance Foundation (AAF) provides safe residences for the homeless population recovering from substance abuse, including those struggling with mental health issues. We teach our residents how to create sober lives leading to futures full of hope and promise.

Help Them Home Giving Day Raises $13,040 to Benefit AAF Residents

AAF is honored to thank everyone who participated in the Help Them Home giving day on April 22. Thanks to the generosity of 100 donors, AAF received $13,040 in contributions! These gifts will support our residents in a variety of ways, including rent assistance, purchasing furnishings and supplies for AAF houses, and more.

We're also pleased to thank the board members and house managers who participated as Help Them Home fundraisers. A special thanks to the following house managers who met or exceeded their individual fundraising goals:

Meet Action Alliance Resident Hailey

A native of Oklahoma, Hailey grew up with both a father and a stepfather who struggled with addiction. As a result, her mother worked multiple jobs to keep the family housed and fed.

Personally, Hailey didn’t start using until after high school. She started experimenting in her late teens, while working as a bartender. At the age of 20, however, a boyfriend introduced her to methamphetamine and heroin, and she was instantly hooked – both on the drugs and on the relationship.

For a time, Hailey considered herself a functioning addict. She began to recognize the depth of her problem when she could no longer keep a job and people stopped wanting to spend time with her. As her addiction progressed, she turned to crime, became homeless, and still did not want to get sober.

A Special Thanks to the Wilson W. Phelps Foundation

Action Alliance Foundation is honored to thank the Wilson W. Phelps Foundation for its recent $5,000 grant, which purchased six new computers and printers for use by our residents.

The computers and printers are located at six different AAF residences. Residents are using them to create resumes, conduct job searches, reconnect with family and more.

The Wilson W. Phelps Foundation has provided grant support to AAF for three consecutive years! We are genuinely grateful for the Foundation's continued support, which helps keep our homes running strong and our residents supported.
