A PROTAC (Proteolysis Targeting Chimera) is a small molecule that brings an E3 ligase into close proximity to a target protein, leading to ubiquitination and proteasome-mediated degradation. These molecules are designed to degrade disease-associated proteins.
While PROTACs have numerous potential applications, there are major hurdles to the rapid evaluation of the function or drug activity of these compounds in vitro or vivo. To address this problem, LifeSensors has developed microtiter plate- based assays to:

  • Establish a link between ubiquitination and degradation
  • Speed up PROTAC drug discovery via high-throughput screening
  • Rapid in vitro assay (2 hrs) to analyze PROTACs

LifeSensors has also developed a high-throughput plate-based method to directly monitor PROTAC-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of target proteins. This method is rapid, efficient and quantitative. Our PROTAC assay plate works with endogenous/native proteins and cells lines. There is no need for reporter systems, stable cell lines or tagging your target protein.
