From the PRS President

Dear PRS Members, Colleagues, and Supporters,

I hope you and your families are doing well and enjoying the nice summer weather. This time of year is always busy for PRS! The Cross Border Summer Lecture Series is currently underway. We have had 2 excellent talks thus far and we are looking forward to our next lecture by Dr. Dana DiRenzo on Health-Related Quality of Life in Sjogren’s Disease. Please consider signing up on the website. Below you’ll find additional information about our 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting, FIT Scholarships, and Thieves’ Market.

PRS is a strong supporter of Rheumatology fellows and residents. We have a long tradition of encouraging them to engage at the national level with the FIT Scholarship for ACR event expenses. At the local level, PRS also deeply discounts their attendance at the Annual Scientific meeting.

I’m pleased to announce that this year, PRS will increase its support of fellows with a new program: Fund the Future. PRS will reimburse the Saturday night hotel stay for fellows who submit cases to the Thieves’ Market competition. Please take advantage of this. Fund the Future helps fellows stay for the full Annual Scientific meeting, benefiting fellows, members and our industry supporters.

Focus on the Future!

PRS is increasing its support of Rheumatology Fellows to attend the PRS Annual Scientific Meeting. This year, Fellows who submit to the Thieves’ Market will have their Saturday night stayl subsidized by PRS.

It's simple: bringing Fellows to the Annual Meeting builds future rheumatologists.

Fellows engage with established practitioners, interact with industry representatives, learn from cutting edge researchers, and become part of the Pennsylvania rheumatology community.

PRS Membership Matters!

Membership dues are a small investment to show your support of your state professional society.

Your dues support our efforts in both your and your patients’ interests. By having a high proportion of state rheumatologists represented by our society we strengthen our voice when we speak with medical policy committees of both private and public payers and government policymakers.
