Candy AND CARDS for the troops will continue this week

Together with the Girl Scouts and in honor of Veteran's Day, the PRS Community Service Committee will be collecting candy as well as cards for the troops. There are bins in the front foyer which we will keep out through Thursday 11/10 - one for candy and another for cards to send along with the candy to the troops. We have collected a lot of candy so far and it would be great to get some more homemade cards or pictures to send along in each box full of candy! Let’s show the troops our PRS community appreciation for their service!

PRS Fall Book Fair + Teacher/Staff Story Hour + Pizza/Ice Cream Social!

The Fall Book Fair begins tomorrow! This hallmark event will be held in the PRS gym, and we look forward to seeing your families there!

We are also thrilled to have teachers join us in the library on Wednesday from 5-6:20pm to read bedtime stories. Plus, PRS alums ('22) & authors Sophia Kruzer and Owen Christensen will read excerpts from their book, The Five Crystals at 5pm!

The 5th Grade Activities Committee will be selling pizza and ice cream in the front lobby from 5-6pm on Wednesday. A fun night for all!

Fruit Center Fundraising Week 11/7-11/13 - Shop at the Fruit Center using the attached voucher anytime this week, or mention PLYMOUTH RIVER at check-out and they'll give back 20% of what PRS families spend to our PTO! Parents will also be able to enter their name in a raffle to win a $100 Fruit Center gift card. Your shopping voucher will be your raffle form - simply include your name, email and phone number to enter. If the Fruit Center isn't where you normally shop, give them a try this week!

PRS Birthday Book Club is back, and we are celebrating year- round! Be on the lookout for a flyer in your child's backpack. This year, we are asking that you submit your child's payment, form, and optional picture by the return date on the flyer, instead of during their birthday month. When your child's birthday month rolls around (summer birthdays are celebrated in June with the Birthday Book Club), they will receive a note to come down to the library to select their book. They will be the first to check it out- and it will have their picture inside if you sent one! A very special way to celebrate your child's special day!"

Picture Re-takes - Lifetouch will be at PRS on November 8th. For students who may have missed Picture Day earlier this year, they can get their picture taken and choose packages later. For those who are seeking re-takes, please bring your picture package with you on the 8th.
