Fall Voyagers is back! Registration for Voyagers, the after-school enrichment program starts Sunday, September 25th at 5 pm, with classes beginning the week of October 3. Sign-up will be on a first-come, first-served basis so please mark your calendar. Class descriptions, pricing, and timing can be found here. If you need financial assistance for Voyagers, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our school adjustment counselor, AC Decker.

Math Olympics registration begins Mon. September 19.  This program is designed to be a fun and challenging way to help your child develop problem solving skills. Read more about this wonderful program and sign up here. Grade-level volunteers are also needed to correct the contests – please sign up to volunteer here.

Show some love for our playgrounds! Donate gently used or new playground equipment-- click here for a list of what's needed. Then join the PRS Green Committee at 11:30 on Wed. Oct 5 (early release) for a playground cleanup. More details coming soon!

School Spirit Day - Fri. Sept. 23. Dress in PRS or Hingham gear to celebrate being back at PRS!

PRS Road Race Committee needs several members, especially people who are good at asking businesses for donations. Please reach out ASAP to committee chairs Katherine Rachalski (rachalski@verizon.net) or Meghen DeSanta (meghen.desanta@gmail.com) if interested.

PRS school council is looking for a parent representative to join the council. A school council is a representative, school-building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, and community members. Committee members meet monthly to assist the principal in adopting educational goals, identifying students' educational needs, reviewing the annual budget, and formulating a school improvement plan. Questions? Email PRSPTOemail@gmail.com.

CORI checks - All parents/guardians/caregivers who volunteer in school require a CORI check each school year. Forms can be found in the main office or here and must be returned in person so that your license/identity can be verified. They cannot be sent in your child’s backpack.

The first PRS PTO Meeting of the year: Wed, Sept. 21, 8:30am in the PRS Cafeteria. The PTO meeting is for ALL parents and guardians, regardless if you've been involved at all. It's a great place to hear more about what is happening at school, learn about upcoming events, and hear from Principal Lamothe and School Adjustment Counselor AC Decker on getting your child off to a strong organizational start. Younger children are not only welcome but encouraged to come! We will have fun activities for them so consider it a future PRS playgroup : )

The PRS PTO Fall Mixer will be at the Red Rose down the street from PRS at 7pm (or after curriculum night) on September 28th. The event is free with a cash bar, but we would greatly appreciate you RSVP'ing to get a headcount.

BOKS Co-Chair Needed!

BOKS is the awesome before-school fitness program that gets kids moving and ready to learn! PRS PTO typically runs two 6-week sessions per school year. Coleen Power has kindly stepped up to co-chair this committee but we need another parent or two to assist her. Without another co-chair, we may not run BOKS this fall. Please consider stepping up -- it's lots of fun! Email PRSPTOemail@gmail.com to learn more!
