This hallmark event will be held in the PRS gym, and we look forward to seeing your families there! We are also thrilled to be having teachers, staff and student authors reading stories in the library on Wednesday beginning at 5pm (exact schedule to come). Plus, the 5th Grade Activities Committee will be selling pizza and ice cream in the front lobby from 5-6pm on Wednesday. This event is a wonderful chance to foster your children's love of reading while also getting a jump start on some early holiday shopping...all in support of PRS!

PRS Birthday Book Club is back, and we are celebrating year- round! Be on the lookout for a flyer in your child's backpack. This year, we are asking that you submit your child's payment, form, and optional picture by the return date on the flyer, instead of during their birthday month. When your child's birthday month rolls around (summer birthdays are celebrated in June with the Birthday Book Club), they will receive a note to come down to the library to select their book. They will be the first to check it out- and it will have their picture inside if you sent one! A very special way to celebrate your child's special day!"

Donate your Halloween Candy

Not sure what to do with ALL of that Halloween candy? Bring it to PRS! The PRS Community Service Committee will once again be collecting candy for the troops. There will be bins in the foyer starting Tuesday November 1st through Friday November 4th.

Updates and Recaps

Cultural Enrichment: On Friday, October 21, the 5th grade classes participated in the first ever NOW! (Nature on Wheels!) program, facilitated by Nature’s Classroom. Starting after arrival, students were broken down into groups with educators and parents volunteers/staff and led on team building and science-based lessons utilizing the vast resources around the PRS campus. Students took trail hikes, conducted experiments and even created their own civilizations within their groups, breaking only for lunch and recess. The program was planned and paid for by PRS PTO. Many thanks to Lauren Davalla for making this a success!

Boo Bash a spooktacular success!

We loved seeing all the great costumes and big smiles at the Boo Bash. Well done, Wizards! We are grateful to the Sprit Committee led by Becca DeChristoper and Kathryn Bizzozero for putting on yet another awesome celebration!
