The City of Edmonton is accepting applications for the 2025 Community Investment Operating Grant, with $968,750 in funding available to eligible organizations in the city.
The operating grant funding is intended to support eligible organizations whose primary mandate must relate to one of the following:
1.- Social Services:
- Social programs and activities that help Edmontonians to strengthen personal or community life.
2.- Amateur Sport & Active Recreation:
- Amateur Sport - Organized physical activities that result in a contest between 2 or more people participating individually or as a team, governed by rules, regulations and officiating.
- Active Recreation - All physical activities that an individual chooses to do for fun, social interaction, fitness and relaxation.
In 2024, 145 organizations received funding to increase social inclusion and equitable access to participation in social services, and active recreation or amateur sport in Edmonton.
The grant program will use the new Community Investment Grant Portal for application intake and reporting (for grants administered through the Social Development branch). Applicants are required to create an account, to submit, manage and track grant applications and reporting requirements with the City.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 29, 2025 by 11:59 p.m.
