Celebrate winter cycling on International Winter Bike to Work Day
February 6, 2023

Biking is among the healthiest and most environmentally friendly ways to get around. Come celebrate winter cycling in Edmonton at the annual International Winter Bike to Work Day. Stop by on your way to work or school and share your experiences or tips about cycling safely and comfortably year-round over hot drinks and snacks provided by the City of Edmonton’s WinterCity and Mobility Teams.

Date: Friday, February 10
Time: 7:30 - 9 a.m.
Location: Garneau Lamp (SW corner of the High Level Bridge at 88 Ave and 109 St)

The City’s WinterCity Strategy supports winter-specific programs and services that enable a four-season culture and encourage Edmontonians to get out and celebrate winter. The City, guided by The City Plan, works to give people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds the option to choose to bike, walk and roll safely year-round by creating safe and livable streets through the City’s Bike Plan and Safe Mobility Strategy

International Winter Bike to Work Day is a friendly challenge between cities worldwide, who compete by counting online how many people are out cycling on that day.
