The City of Edmonton, with support from Alberta Ecotrust, launched the CitiesIPCC Legacy Research Grant today. Academic institutions, nonprofits, charities, corporations and students are eligible to receive up to $50,000 each for climate-focused research projects.

The CitiesIPCC Legacy Grant pursues the research agenda developed in the 2018 CitiesIPCC Conference to help Edmonton become a climate-resilient city.

All projects must align to at least one of three focus areas (Energy Transition, Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience, and/or Citizen Science) and must address issues within the boundaries of the City of Edmonton.

Applications are due by June 15, 2019. To learn more about the grant and apply, visit: https://albertaecotrust.com/cities-ipcc/.
