You don’t want to say ‘I Was Never There’ — because The Weeknd is performing in Edmonton! On Saturday, July 19, Commonwealth Stadium will host the Canadian singer-songwriter for this world-class concert in the city. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, February 7 on Ticketmaster for The Weeknd: After Hours Til Dawn tour with Playboi Carti and Mike Dean.
“We are very excited that Edmonton was chosen as a stop on The Weeknd’s tour,” said Heather Seutter, Director, Commonwealth Stadium. “Artists like The Weeknd who perform in our city play a vital role in fostering cultural identity, creating community and driving growth in Edmonton’s economy.”
Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actor. He is recognized for his unconventional musical production, artistic reinventions and signature falsetto register. The Weeknd is considered to be one of the most innovative and influential artists of his generation.
The City of Edmonton and Commonwealth Stadium look forward to welcoming everyone as you’re ‘Coming Down’ to these world-class events. Additional information will be released closer to the concert dates.
