Edmonton is a caring community where residents place a high priority on helping those in need. One way residents continue to support each other is through the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) Stuff a Bus campaign, in support of the Edmonton Food Bank, which is returning for its 28th consecutive year. This year’s ETS Stuff a Bus campaign runs from November 23-27.
A specially decorated LRT car will be onsite to collect donations at Century Park LRT Station on November 26 and at Clareview LRT Station on November 27. A full list of donation locations, including dates and times, is available at
edmonton.ca/StuffaBus.
Edmontonians are able to donate in the following ways:
- ETS buses will be onsite at 15 participating Save-On-Foods locations on Nov. 26. ETS staff will be at each Save-On-Foods collecting donations. Stuff a train at Century Park (Nov. 26) and Clareview LRT station (Nov. 27) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Edmonton Food Bank volunteers will also be on site collecting cash donations on these dates. You can also stuff Transit Peace Officer (TPO) cruisers (Nov. 23-25) with non-perishable food donations.
- Donating $2 or more at the checkout counter at Save-On-Foods.
- Donating online via Edmonton’s Food Bank website and select ETS Stuff a Bus under “Fund” (minimum of $3 for online donations).
- Texting FEEDYEG to 20222. $10 or $20 donation options are available.
A $3.21 contribution can provide a meal to one person and can be covered by just one online donation. In 2021, over 23,000 kilograms of food was collected at Save-On-Foods locations and $6,500 in cash was collected through online, text and check-out donations. Since its inception, the Stuff a Bus campaign has raised 553,000 kilograms of food and $496,000 in cash donations to help feed Edmontonians in need.
