Edmontonians will continue to see their transit service evolve as new changes come into effect this summer. Starting July 3, various bus routes will have some service changes to reflect typical summer ridership patterns. Service changes from the cancellation of public/Catholic school routes/trips will last until August 31.
Some of these adjustments include changes to Capital/Metro Line LRT service, which will help to accommodate platform warning tile replacement work at Century Park Station.
From July 3 to late-August, riders can expect Capital Line trains to run:
- Every 10 minutes between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday.
- Every 15 minutes between 5 and 6 a.m. and between 6 p.m. and the end of service on weekdays and Saturday.
- Every 15 minutes all day on Sunday.
Metro Line trains will run every 15 minutes all day, every day.
LRT frequency will change during K-Days, Edmonton Elks home games and during track work or maintenance.
On Demand Transit service will be available at Alliance Villa and Central Baptist Manor, starting July 3. Alliance Villa riders can book On Demand Transit trips to and from Westmount Transit Centre or Jasper Place Transit Centre. Central Baptist Manor riders can book On Demand Transit trips to and from Bonnie Doon Mall or Capilano Transit Centre.
K-Days service
During K-Days, additional service will be available on bus routes 8 and 53, as well as the Capital Line LRT. From July 22 to 31, 10-minute service on the Capital Line will run from approximately 6 a.m. until the end of service every day.
