The City of Edmonton is currently recruiting 50 members to join 16 civic boards. Whether you have lived experiences or particular professional skills, knowledge and/or training, there are a variety of options to choose from including:
- Tribunal Appeal and Review Boards
- Socially-focused Boards
- Urban Planning and Design Boards
Civic board members provide input to City Council on matters that impact Edmontonians, expand their network, grow their skillset and gain valuable experience.
Effective January 1, 2022, members of some civic boards will receive an honorarium when attending meetings. Additionally, they may be compensated for out-of-pocket expenses such as transportation, childcare, eldercare and/or special needs care for dependents. More information can be found here.
To apply, submit an application by January 16, 2022. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the end of March and invited to attend an interview. Council will make member appointments in April 2022 which will be in effect May 1, 2022.
