High school students interested in a career in emergency services are invited to apply for Edmonton Fire Rescue Services’ Fire Cadet program.
The program provides unique coursework that allows students to develop leadership skills, become involved in the community, and meet new, like-minded people.
Through a mix of classroom and hands-on programming, students in grades 10 to 12 can learn the importance of mental and physical wellness and teamwork, all while building employment skills and experiencing the day-to-day work of a firefighter.
Fire cadets can earn up to six high school credits for their involvement in the two-semester, 10-month program, beginning September 2024.
