The following areas will experience changes to operating hours and service levels over the holiday season:

Edmonton Transit Service (ETS)
Each year, ETS adjusts service levels for the statutory holidays and the days around Christmas to reflect the lower level of ridership.

  • December 27, 28, 29 and 30: All school trips and school special routes cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules. LRT will operate with regular weekday schedules.
  • December 31: From 6 p.m. until the end of service, all transit riders can board buses, LRT and DATS for free. Some routes will also have extended service until 3 a.m.
  • January 1: Both buses and LRT lines will operate on Sunday schedules.
  • January 2, 3, 4 and 5: All school trips and school special routes cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules. All LRT lines return to their regular weekday service.
  • January 8: Full service on all bus routes resumes.
