The excitement is building throughout our city as the Edmonton Oilers continue in Round 2 of their Stanley Cup playoffs run. Oilers fans are invited to gather to show their Oilers pride and cheer our team on in the ‘Battle of Alberta.’

Wear orange, get loud and ​prepare to rally in the Downtown core as we celebrate the Edmonton Oilers for Game 4!

Date: Tuesday, May 24
Time: Noon to 1 p.m. 
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Square

​Join Mayor Amarjeet Sohi, Councillors, Edmonton Oilers Alumni, Hunter the Lynx, the Orange and Blue Ice Crew, and fans for giveaways, music and more. Put your Oilers spirit ​on full display ​for a chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to ​Tuesday's game!

Watch the Oilers home games in Sir Winston Churchill Square

Join Oilers fans of all ages in Sir Winston Churchill Square to watch the ‘Battle of Alberta’ on a large screen. Bring your lawn chairs and cheer on the Oilers at these free family-friendly, alcohol-free viewing parties, which will be offered for Oilers’ home games only: 
  • Sunday, May 22 – Game 3 start time: 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 24 – Game 4 start time: 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 28 – Game 6 start time: TBD (if required)

Food trucks will be on site. 

Sir Winston Churchill Square is easily accessible by bus and LRT. Visit for route and schedule information. 

Whether you’re out on the town or cheering from home, we encourage you to continue to celebrate safely and responsibly.
