Major lane shift planned at 23 Avenue and 111 Street intersection

November 14, 2024

Beginning on or around November 16, a major lane shift will be implemented at the 23 Avenue and 111 Street intersection as part of the Capital Line South LRT extension project. The lanes will shift northeast of the existing intersection for approximately two years. This change is needed to build the new LRT underpass beneath 23 Avenue. Ledcor, the project's Design-Build contractor, will implement and oversee the work.

Two through lanes of traffic and single turn lanes will be maintained in all directions at the intersection. Speed limits will be reduced to 40 km/h. Please proceed with caution while moving through the intersection. Major construction along 111 Street, south of Century Park, is anticipated to start in spring 2025.
