Phase 2 residential clearing paused due to extreme weather conditions
December 27, 2021

Due to the extreme cold temperatures in Edmonton, non-essential snow and ice clearing work, including in Phase 2 residential areas, have been paused. The current temperatures present a significant risk to employees, equipment and contracted equipment.

Temperatures will be monitored and operations will resume when it is safe to do so. City crews will continue to monitor conditions, respond to safety-sensitive notifications and be available to address emergent and priority issues.

Edmontonians can view the interactive online map to confirm where crews are operating and which streets have been cleared. This map will be updated to resume work on January 4, 2022.
