Planned system-wide LRT closure Sunday February 10
January 31, 2019

On Sunday, February 10, Capital and Metro Line LRT service will be suspended all day from 5 a.m. until the end of service. This full-day closure will allow for City testing of the Thales signalling system, as well as necessary track work and maintenance. Customers will
still see trains running on the tracks, but will not be permitted to board.

From 5 a.m. until the end of service, Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) will have replacement buses every seven to eight minutes on the Capital Line. Metro Line replacement buses will run between NAIT and Churchill, including eastbound stops by Bay and Central stations. Please use bus stops with red “LRT Replacement” signs .

Customers are encouraged to plan ahead by checking service changes on takeETS.com/news .

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians may also experience increased wait times at LRT crossings during testing, so please give yourself extra travel time and consider alternate routes when possible.
