Registration for the 2019 PSA Annual Meeting is now open. The meeting will be held July 15-18 at the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

Student oral presentations will be scheduled throughout the meeting, not as standalone sessions as in recent years.
Symposia and workshops scheduled for the meeting include:

  • WPSA Lecture: From the jungle fowl to highly-performing chickens: Are we reaching the limits?

  • Informal Nutrition: Towards resolving unsettled issues in poultry nutrition

  • Amino acids: New paradigms in poultry nutrition and health

  • Emerging issues in food animal welfare

  • Antimicrobial interventions used in poultry processing to reduce pathogens on raw meat

Abstracts for the 2019 Poultry Science Association Annual Meeting can be submitted online until April 3. The 2019 meeting will be held in Montréal, Québec, Canada, July 15-18. Abstracts can be submitted online at the Abstract Submission Site .

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at 11:59 pm ET

Complete instructions and abstract guidelines are available online at the Abstract Submission Site . Please note that the instructions and guidelines have been revised for 2019. It is important that all submitting authors read the guidelines before submitting their abstract.

Students entering an abstract into the Student Competition will enter their abstract into a regular section this year and mark that they wish to be in the competition. There are no special Student Competition sections available in the submission system this year. Please note that still only one abstract may be entered in the competition.

Meeting Registration is open and hotel reservations for the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth Hotel can be made online as well. The 2019 PSA Annual Meeting website will be updated frequently with the latest meeting information.

Welcoming Sam Shafer
PSA's Communications Specialist

PSA is pleased to welcome aboard Sam Shafer fulfilling the role of Communications Specialist. Sam will be overseeing communications strategies, and working to further develop PSA's presence. Sam comes from a non-profit background and spent roughly 10 years of his youth showing poultry as a 4-H project. He is in the process of completing his Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Illinois, which he will receive in May of this year. Sam is looking forward to attending this summer's annual meeting and interacting with the membership face-to-face.
