PSA's Transition to Elsevier
All papers that are submitted to Poultry Science ® or The Journal of Applied Poultry Research from now on, will be published by Elsevier and will be submitted through their platform, Editorial Manager (see submission links below). Papers submitted through Elsevier will be published in the new Open Access (OA) format with the first distributed issue, by Elsevier, released in January 2020.

Note that for all manuscripts submitted after October 1, 2019, an article processing charge (APC) is therefore payable after acceptance for publication. The APC for both journals is $1,500 for Poultry Science Association members, and $2,000 for non-members per article. The APC will be billed after peer review and acceptance. 2020 Fellows Nominations
Deadline to Nominate:  November 1, 2019
The Poultry Science Association is accepting nominations for PSA Fellows of 2020. The selected Fellows will be recognized at the 2020 PSA Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky next July.

Nominations must include:
  • Nomination Letter
  • Biographical & Professional Summary (800 words or less) covering activities, accomplishments, and recognitions; emphasizing contributions to the field of poultry science and service to the Poultry Science Association
  • Three Letters of Support

The deadline for nominations is
Next Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:59 PM CST.
About the Award

The status of Fellow recognizes members of the Poultry Science Association for professional distinction and contributions to the field of poultry science and service to the Poultry Science Association. Not more than five members may be elected as Fellows at any one annual meeting. A two-thirds majority vote by the Board of Directors is required to elect any nominee as Fellow. Election to Fellow is one of the highest distinctions a PSA member can achieve.

PSA Foundation - 2019 Diamond V Scholar
The Poultry Science Association Foundation was pleased to recognize Mr. Austin Silva as the recipient of the 2019 Diamond V Endowed Scholarship. Mr. Silva, currently a junior POSC/ANSC dual major enrolled in the Department of Poultry Science at Texas A&M University was recognized by Dr. Jim Denton, Executive Director of the Poultry Science Association Foundation, at the reception hosted by Dr. David Caldwell, Department Head in Poultry Science at Texas A&M University.
IPSF Abstract Submission
The abstract submission site for the 2020 International Poultry Scientific Forum is now open. IPSF, to be held January 27 - 28, 2020, in Atlanta, is sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases, and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
The site will remain open for submissions and editing until 11:59 EST on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.  Please be sure to follow the Guidelines available on the submission site.
