Allowable Ex Parte Communication Briefing Scheduled for January 21st, 2025
The Public Service Commission of South Carolina has scheduled an allowable ex parte communication briefing for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025. The topic of this allowable ex parte communication briefing, which was requested by the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, will be transmission planning best practices and examples of successful transmission planning in other states. Those interested in watching this briefing can attend in person at the Commission's office at 101 Executive Center Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210. Registration is required for all in-person attendees so that the record can be certified as is required by law; registration will be available upon arrival at the Commission’s office.
An allowable ex parte communication briefing is a form of communication between the PSC and a person or organization involved in a PSC docket or nondocketed item that is conducted in accordance with SC Code Ann. Section 58-3-260(c)(6). Allowable ex parte communication briefings allow the PSC to receive information from persons involved in matters that come before or are likely to come before the Commission without violating the ethical standards to which the PSC adheres.
