Distinguished Alumni Awards honor accomplished alumni

The PSC Alumni Association and Office of the President hosted the Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala on June 13. Each honoree was recognized for their unique contributions, achievements, civic engagement and positive impact on others through service to the college and community. Rebecca Merlin received the Spirit of PSC Award, Lane Harper received the Business Leadership & Entrepreneurship Award, Carol Carlan received the Community Legacy Award, and W. George Gaines received the Founders Legacy Award.

Open house celebrates workforce training and a family’s legacy

Accompanied by her family, Sheryl “Sherry” Hobbs Glorioso was PSC’s guest of honor on June 16, during an open house and program showcase at the Raymond B. and Leila Hobbs Center for Excellence, newly named in memory of her grandparents, whose legacy continues to impact local education and the community. The focus of her enduring support has expanded from teacher education and pre-engineering to include innovative career training in aviation maintenance and other workforce development programs.

PSC and Anna Society host Juried High School Awards Exhibition

The college presented 23 awards to 20 young artists on June 23 during a reception for the annual Juried High School Awards Exhibition, currently showing through July 30 at the Charles W. Lamar Studio on the Pensacola campus. Hosted by the Anna Society for Visual Arts and PSC, the exhibition features a collective of student artwork by 61 high school juniors and seniors from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Join in the college’s 250 Years Proud festivities with campus activities — from cupcakes and cookouts to Century’s Multi-Community Celebration — and a four-day holiday weekend in observance of this year’s very special Independence Day! The college will be closed Thursday and Friday, July 2–3. Happy Fourth of July!
