250 Years Proud Speakers Series kicked off with "A Prelude to the Revolutionary War"

During the first lunch-and-learn lecture of the 250 Years Proud Speakers Series on Tuesday at Pensacola State College, Professor Brian Rucker, Ph.D., gave a spirited talk about the sequence of events that led to the American Revolutionary War. The classroom was full for Rucker’s hour-long talk, which covered a sequence of events starting 150 years before the Declaration of Independence was written and signed in 1776.

PSC's new Diesel Maintenance Technician program leads to entry-level ASE certification

The new Diesel Maintenance Technician certificate program at Pensacola State College is up and running. The inaugural class began in January, and registration is open for students wanting to start this summer. Supported by a 2024 Triumph Gulf Coast grant, the program provides technology skills training for industry certification at PSC’s Commercial Driver Training facility in Milton. At the end of their studies, students will sit for entry-level certification exams from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
