Canyon VanBuskirk loves that making art can be a form of self-care and a source of happiness for others.
“It is a way for me to forget about things and be proud of myself,” said VanBuskirk, a Fort Collins High School freshman who is one among about 40 Poudre School District students whose work is featured in the district’s SuperArt! show in the boardroom at PSD’s administrative offices.
VanBuskirk’s artwork is a blend of the serene and neon. A final project for his photography class, the digital portrait called “Passion of Everything,” came to life with intentionality, a drumstick and a green screen background to express the longtime drummer’s love for music and photography.
