Season of Giving

The holiday season is a time to be grateful for what we have, share with neighbors in need, and reflect on what is truly important. Many PSD schools do this work - in recent weeks and throughout the year - through initiatives and events geared toward giving.

Winners are Declan McNulty (Werner), Valeria Fierro Soto (Irish), Stella Hope (Johnson), Moira Connors (Linton) and Alicia Brown (Irish).

Today is the deadline to submit first-round school choice applications

Parents and guardians who plan to apply for school choice for 2023-24 but have not yet done so have until 11:59 tonight to submit an application. Here are some important reminders:

  • If a student is currently on a school’s waitlist and did not receive a seat offer for the 2022-23 school year, a new application must be submitted for the 2023-24 school year to be considered for that school. The new application platform, ScribChoice, doesn't allow applications to be renewed in order to keep current waitlist placement.
  • Students who intend to remain at their current school choice school for the following year do not need to reapply.
  • Families will receive an email in January letting them know if their child has been accepted for school choice or placed on a waitlist.
