We will notify everyone before the New Year if they have been successful or not, and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in London next year.
If you missed the oral abstract deadline but would still like to get involved in the conference, poster abstracts are being accepted up until the  28th February 2019More information on abstract topics.
We are excited to announce that the Keynote Speakers for the 2019 PSI Conference will be John Pullinger and Robert Cuffe. More information on the Keynote Speakers.
John Pullinger

John Pullinger is the current National Statistician and has held this position since July 2014. His role includes being principal adviser to the UK Statistics Authority (UKSA) and Government on official statistics and Head of the Government Statistical Service (GSS). John is also a former President of the Royal Statistical Society. He is a chartered statistician and was the inaugural chair of the Royal Statistical Society’s “getstats” campaign.

Look out for details around his talk which will be released in the New Year, which is bound to be an interesting insight to statistics within the industry.
Robert Cuffe

Robert Cuffe is currently the Head of Statistics at BBC News, a role he took on in 2017 and was created by the Corporation ‘to better tell stories that contain numbers and data’.

Have you ever read a news story and wondered “why have they written the numbers up like that”? In this keynote talk you’ll learn how about how a newsroom works, how stories with numbers are written, as well as the BBC’s research into how audiences respond to numbers. Don't miss this session at the 2019 PSI Conference, where you can find out how to communicate your research to a non-statistical audience.
