The Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter held its election/all-member meeting Feb. 19 in Miramar Beach, Fla., where it elected the following three members to serve as officers for the 2024-2026 term:

■ President: Tamara Mayberry, Pioneer Industries International;

■ Vice President: Kathy DeLano, Texas Recycling; and

■ Secretary/Treasurer: Ed Tucciarone, Graphic Packaging International.

The new officers above will begin their terms immediately following the ISRI annual convention in mid-April.

Approximately 26 PSI members attended the February meeting, which also included discussion on the following agenda points:

■ ISRI will hold its annual convention April 13-18 (including ISRI governance-meeting days) at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. At that event, the ISRI Paper Division will hold a meeting Sunday, April 14, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. (PDT). In addition, the PSI Chapter will sponsor the “Spotlight on Paper: The Recycled Paper Industry, 2024 and Beyond.” That session, to be held Tuesday, April 16, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. (PDT), will feature Jonathan Gold of Gold Recycling Group and Jose Gonzalez of AFRY.

■ The PSI Chapter has raised $54,000 for its annual scholarship program, which will allow it to award a record 19 scholarships—and possibly more—this year. Last year, PSI awarded $40,000 in scholarships to 15 students.

■ ISRI national is undertaking a rebranding, with plans to announce further updates for the association at its upcoming convention in Las Vegas. 

Immediately following the election/all-member meeting, PSI held a cocktail reception (see photos below) for PSI members.
