ISRI Online
Safety Training
Courses
Among ISRI’s many safety-focused programs and resources, it offers two online on-demand courses—“Forklift Operator Training in Safety” and “Safety in the Recycled Materials Industry”—as well as an instructor-led online course on “Organizational Culture and Safety Success.” Here’s what you need to know to benefit from these invaluable courses:
■ Forklift Operator Training in Safety
This online on-demand course provides targeted training on safe forklift operation, how to recognize the risks forklifts pose to pedestrians, and the proper safety measures to follow. Each of the course’s four modules consists of a video and a quiz. Participants must watch each video in its entirety and answer the quiz questions correctly before moving to the next module. This course, available in English and Spanish, costs $79 per registrant for ISRI members ($158 for nonmembers), and participants have 90 days from the time of purchase to complete the course. ■ Safety in the Recycled Materials Industry
Safety awareness is the first step in creating a culture of safety in your workplace. This 60-minute interactive, self-paced course is designed to help supervisors recognize and reduce risks at a job site.
The online on-demand program details how to identify and address potential safety problems, including fire safety threats, mobile equipment, and blind spots. Other topics include personal protective equipment, tools, processes, and hazard mitigation strategies. Upon conclusion of the course and a required post-assessment, participants can earn a certificate of completion.
This course, which includes supplementary downloadable resources, costs $129 per registrant for ISRI members ($258 for nonmembers), and participants have 90 days from the time of purchase to complete the course and post-assessment. To register, click HERE.
■ Organizational Culture and Safety Success
This instructor-led course is delivered in four consecutive weekly online sessions—June 6, June 13, June 20, and June 27—all from
